Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is how the role of public relations in improving the image of the school in SMA Negeri 2 Asera, Konawe Utara Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the role of public relations in improving the image of schools in SMA Negeri 2 Asera, North Konawe Regency. The research analysis used in this research is qualitative descriptive analysis. The research subjects were the Head of School, Public Relations and 4 teachers of SMA Negeri 2 Asera and 2 community leaders. While the data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews and documentation.The results show that the role of public relations in improving the image of the school at SMA Negeri 2 Asera is to include the role of a communicator (communicator) by being a source of information and providing information services, acting as a liaison or relationship in bridging community aspirations for school development and building cooperation with the community. and the role of public relations as a support (back up management) in the environment of SMA Negeri 2 Asera also goes well with the role of public relations in carrying out every policy issued by the school and the role of public relations as a good image maker in SMA Negeri 2 Asera. well done and quite effective.
