Abstract

administrative employees at SMA Muhammadiyah Kendari. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study were the principal and 4 administrative employees. Sources of data in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used in the study were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this research are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that there are several factors that influence the performance of administrative employees at SMA Muhammadiyah Kendari, namely: (1) internal factors which include ability factors, namely employee intelligence maximally in managing school data, while motivational factors include providing compensation in the form of incentives that is a form of school appreciation for work performance, and job security, namely guarantees that provide a sense of security and peace at work such as old age insurance (retirees), health insurance coverage (askes). (2) external factors that include the work atmosphere, namely a conducive situation that is very influential in carrying out tasks or work, the establishment of good peer relations between administrative employees and teachers and school principals, the availability of work facilities such as work equipment.
