Abstract

This type of research is descriptive qualitative which describes and examines the real condition of the research object based on the authentic data collected. The research subjects consisted of the principal, and 7 teachers. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The formulation of the problem in this research is "What is the Role of Principal's Leadership Style in Improving Teacher Performance at SD Negeri 1 Tanjung Tiram Kec. Menui Islands Kab. Morowali?” This study aims to describe the role of the principal's leadership style in improving teacher performance at SD Negeri 1 Tanjung Tiram, Menui Islands District, Morowali Regency. The results of this study indicate that: The role of the Principal's Leadership Style in Improving Teacher Performance at SD Negeri 1 Tanjung Tiram, Menui Islands District, Morowali Regency. The principal is more dominant in applying the democratic leadership style where this style plays an important role in improving human resources.
