Management of Facilities and Infrastructure in Improving Learning Quality

The purpose of this study is to describe the management of facilities and infrastructure in improving the quality of learning at SMP Negeri 2 Kabawo. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The subjects of this research are principals, heads of facilities and infrastructure managers, teachers, and students. Data was collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by collecting data, reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data by using triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study show that: 1) planning for facilities and infrastructure, namely the principal with the head of facilities and infrastructure management, teachers, and administration plan activities for planning facilities and infrastructure through annual meetings by following the guidelines and standards of type, quantity and quality according to the priority scale. and readiness of funds, 2) procurement of facilities and infrastructure is carried out based on the decision of the principal by using budget assistance from BOS funds. The procurement process is carried out by purchasing, then distributed in each class and workspace, 3) maintenance of facilities and infrastructure is carried out by periodic checks, repairs based on the condition of the building. Checks are carried out regularly to prevent serious damage or unwanted accidents in supporting teaching and learning activities.References
