Publication Ethics
The ethical norms that must be adhered to in the publication of DECODE: Jurnal Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi is guided by COPE (Committee On Publication Ethics) which is as follows:
Authors
- Authors must uphold scientific behaviour, understand the risks and benefits of published articles.
- Researchers must present their research results honestly, without falsification and manipulation of data.
- Manuscripts must follow the DECODE: Jurnal Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi which can be downloaded from the journal template.
- Articles must be relevant to the focus and scope that has been determined in DECODE: Jurnal Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi
- The article does not result in a conflict of interest with certain parties.
- The authors listed in the article are truly competent and have significant contributions.
- If the author finds significant errors or inaccuracies in the submitted manuscript, the author must immediately notify the journal editor and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the manuscript.
- Authors are prohibited from republishing articles or parts of articles, submitting to one or more other journals at the same time as submitting articles in DECODE: Jurnal Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi. Authors are allowed if they receive a rejection of the article from the head/editor of DECODE: Jurnal Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi.
Editor
- The editor can accept, reject, or request changes to the manuscript based on the reviewer's recommendations. The editor may also confer with the editor-in-chief in making atikel publication decisions.
- The editor evaluates that each initial manuscript is original. Editors must manage manuscripts fairly and wisely.
- The editor selects reviewers according to their expertise by taking into account the type of research of the article submitted by the author.
- The editor must ensure that information about the manuscript submitted by the author is kept confidential.
Reviewer
- Information regarding manuscripts submitted by authors should be kept confidential and treated as privileged.
- Reviewers should ensure that the authors have acknowledged all sources of data used in the research.
- Reviewers should identify published works that are relevant to the focus and scope of DECODE: Jurnal Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi and has not been used by other authors.
- The review of the submitted manuscript should be conducted objectively and the review should express detailed views with clear supporting arguments.
- Reviewers should be constructive in their reviews and provide feedback to help authors improve their manuscripts.
- Reviewers should respond to the author's manuscript within an appropriate timeframe.
